Listening to Your iPhone or iPod
1 Dock your iPhone or iPod in the
Altec Lansing inMotion Classic
speaker system.
2 Select “iPod” mode.
Pressthe“SOURCE”buttononyour
speaker system or full-featured remote
until “iPod” appears on the LCD.
3 Press the button on your iPhone or iPod.
Music from your iPhone or iPod will start playing. The speaker system
anditsremotearecapableofcontrolling3rd-generationiPodmodels,
the iPod touch and iPhone.
4 Adjust the volume.
Usethe“+”and“–”buttonsontheAltecLansingspeakersystemor
full-featuredremotetoadjustthesystemvolume.
5 Find your desired song.
Press the
or button on your speaker system or full-featured
remote to go to the next or previous track. Press and hold the
or
button on your speaker system or full-featured remote while track
is playing for high-speed forward or reverse music search of the
current track.
NOTE To conserve battery power, reduce the speaker system volume level.
NOTE During battery-only operation, the speaker system automatically
shuts down if no audio is detected for a few minutes. This is to conserve
battery power. Press the
button to turn the speaker system back on.
NOTE The speaker system is compatible with the alarm clock and sleep
timerfeaturesbuiltintoselectiPhoneandiPodmodels.Forthesefeatures
to work properly, the speaker system must be connected to a wall outlet.
WhenaniPhoneoriPodisdocked,thespeakersystemwillnotshutdown
automatically, enabling the alarm or sleep timer to play through the speaker
system.SeetheuserguideforiPhoneoriPodfordetailsonhowtoaccess
these features.
NOTE During AC operation, if there is no iPhone or iPod docked and
no audio input signal is detected for a few minutes, the speaker system
automatically shuts down to conserve energy. Press the
button to turn
the speaker system back on.
